I have always been inspired and driven to understand the mystery of the mind in relation to the body. This potted history of my career, qualifications and experience will shine light on the methods I’ve explored and utilise, and offer and insight into the practices central to my work.
BSc in Physiotherapy, Manchester University
Post Graduate Certificate in Spinal Manipulation, Curtin University
I have also worked directly with some of the leading practitioners in manual therapies such as Rolfing, chiropractic, acupuncture, myofascial release and visceral manipulation.
Cranio-Sacral Syllabus – completed working directly with John Upledger
My mind was truly opened witnessing the powerful somato-emotional release work and the influence trauma and unresolved emotion has on our being. I have seen hundreds of clients with long term chronic pain regain full function in a short time and go on to live pain free lives.
Post Graduate Certficate in Organisational Development: A Gestalt Perspective, Metanoia
It was through my work at Metanoia, and in particular the study of Perls and Merleau-Ponty, that I arrived at a relational meditation practice. This practice has since been refined through working with Circling Europe and I continue to work directly with Guy Sengstock, the creator of Circling. I apply this transformational work both in one-one and group settings.
Fellow of The Gray Institute
I have completed The Gray Institute’s year long study of functional movement. This is cutting edge work, giving a true understanding movement.
Yoga – Over 20 years of practice
I have studied and practiced with many leading practitioners. In India, I have studied with Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois several times and with many of the leading lights of Ashtanga Yoga.
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev
I developed a friendship with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and have completed all of his training as well as hosted him in the UK on a couple of occasions. The 10 day silent retreat with Sadhguru was truly life changing and gave me a greater depth to my work and experience.
School of Economic Science
Many years here has given me a great foundation in mindfulness practices of the East.
